It is with a heavy heart for LongeviQuest to share that Herbert Wolding passed away at 111 years old. He was an American supercentenarian known as the oldest living man in Wisconsin at the time of his death.

Mr. Wolding founded H.O. Wolding Inc. in 1935 where he started a single-man milk route and made it grow into a large dry van truckload company with more than 320 trucks today. Trucking news platform, CDLLife, reported Herbert’s passing last week.

LongeviQuest also confirmed that Herbert Wolding passed away on 17 November 2023 at the age of 111 years old. At the time of his death, he was oldest-validated living man in Wisconsin and in the whole United States.

Born on 15 October 1912, Herbert was born to Norwegian parents and had at least one brother. He attended Amherst High School until eighth grade but never graduated. He left school to assist his family with their business.

He recently celebrated his 111th birthday in Portgage, Wisconsin, USA, on 15 October 2023. Unfortunately, Mr. Wolding passed away last week, 17 November 2023 in Nelsonville, Wisconsin, USA.

It is with a heavy heart for LongeviQuest to announce that Susan Keane, the oldest person from New Jersey, USA, passed away at 111 years old. She was an American supercentenarian who was possibly the oldest living Irish woman in the world at the time of her death.

Susan Keane was born on 14 October 1912 in Long Island City, New York, USA. She had an Irish immigrant parent and a twin sister as well as a younger sister.

In 1948, she was married to Peter Keane, and had two children together. The two of them moved to Allendale, New Jersey in 1960.

Susan Keane passed away on 22 October 2023 in Allendale, New Jersey, USA. She was 111 years and 8 days old at the time of her death. At this point, she was survived by her daughter and son-in-law, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

LongeviQuest is saddened to report that Ejra Grimstam, Sweden’s third-oldest living person, passed away at 111 years old.

Ejra Grimstam was born on 29 June 1912 in Sjötofta, Västra Götaland, Sweden.

In 1945, she married her husband Thure and had two daughters named Maj-Britt and Siv. The family settled in Oskarström, outside Halmstad. Unfortunately, her husband died in 1992 so she moved to the municipality of Ale so she could be close to her daughter Siv. Around 2013, Ejra moved to the Backavik Nursing Home found in Nödinge.

Ejra Grimstam passed away on 25 September 2023 in Nödinge-Nol, Västra Götaland, Sweden. At the time of her death, she was 111 years old and considered as the country’s third-oldest living person behind Gunborg Hancock and Agnes Boström.

It is with a heavy for LongeviQuest to share that Magda Janssens, the oldest person in Belgium, passed away peacefully on 18 September 2023. She was a Belgian supercentenarian known as the oldest living person in Belgium and the Benelux. Her age was validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) in 2022.

According to the news report, Magda passed away peacefully on Monday evening around 11 PM CET. It was a sad news reported from the Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van Troost Residential Care Center in Zandhoven, Antwerp, Belgium.

Care Center Director Charlotte Leemans shared that Magda had a particularly beautiful day when her family visited her on Monday. However, Magda’s daughter, Francine, sensed that it could be their last visit to her. That is why the family was very sad but also greatly appreciates the great times they had with Magda during her life. In the Director’s own words, “For all of us it is not only a personal loss – Magda was very much loved – but also the loss of an icon.” This is how she describes the passing of Magda Jenssens whom she also called as their Our Lady of Consolation.

Magda Jenssens celebrated her 111th birthday on 16 March 2023 while looking so fragile. However, she was actually more optimistic this time rather than when she received the title of oldest resident of the Benelux in November 2022. She was happy to be there as the king and queen had a pot of flowers delivered for her. Her son, André (88 years old), was not able to attend the celebration due to COVID, but her daughter, Francine (76 years old), was present as she was also living in Zandhoven.

Biography

Magda Janssens was born on 16 March 1912 in the district of Deurne, Antwerp, Belgium. On 24 October 1936, she married her first husband who passed away on 23 April 1937. The next year, she remarried on 1 October 1938 and had four children with her second husband.

Janssens passed away on 18 September 2023 in Zandhoven, Antwerp, Belgium. At the time of her death, she was the oldest living person in Belgium and the Benelux at 111 years and 186 days old.
