Ruby Lockhart was born in Elkhart, Indiana, USA on 17 May 1912, the second child of Andrew and Ida (née Baker) Clay. She had four brothers and two sisters.
On 4 November 1931, she married Ferrall Wheeler Lockhart. They had three children: Eugene, James, and Lynne Wallace. Her husband died in August 1982.
As of May 2019, she had one living sister, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-greatgrandchildren.
Lockhart currently lives at Hillside Country Living in Bryan, Ohio, USA.
