Marie Audy (née Jailon) was a French supercentenarian who was among the top 10 oldest residents of the country upon her death. Her age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG), the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO), and recognised by LongeviQuest (LQ).

Biography

Audy was born as Marie Jailon in Saint-Pantaly-d’Ans, a former commune in the department of Dordogne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, on 29 March 1899. She died on 24 November 2009 in the same commune at the age of 110 years, 240 days.

Audy was the second-oldest living person in Nouvelle-Aquitaine after Germaine Fossé, who died less than one month later.

Audy’s age was verified by Laurent Toussaint, Luc Le Lay, and Martin Miet (GRG), as well as Cyril Depoudent and Les Grands Centenaires Français (ESO), and was validated by the GRG on 13 September 2013. Her age was later validated by the ESO on 7 September 2022.
