Pellet was born as Augusta Barthelemy in Aspremont, a commune of the Alpes-Maritimes department, on 3 July 1913. She married Georges Pellet in the same commune on 29 April 1939 and had a daughter, Danielle, the following year.
At the age of 110, Pellet was a great-great-grandmother, and was among the 30 oldest living people in France.
Pellet was not known to researchers until after her 110th birthday, when an article was published in Le Dauphiné Libéré.
