Takashi Hattori [Japanese: 服部 孝] was a Japanese supercentenarian who was the oldest living person in Saitama Prefecture at the time of his death.

BIOGRAPHY

Takashi Hattori (服部 孝) was born in Japan on March 12, 1898.
At the age of 96, he was affected by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and relocated from the Kansai region to Iruma City, Saitama Prefecture, to live near his niece.

At the age of 103, it was reported that he enjoyed reading fairy tales and letters as part of his daily routine. He once stated that the key to his longevity was “eating everything, but not too much.”

On April 3, 2007, following the death of Shizu Shizuno of Honjō, he became the oldest living person in Saitama Prefecture.
Hattori passed away on January 12, 2009, at the age of 110 years and 306 days. Upon his death, Yoshi Kobayashi of Sakado became the new oldest living person in the prefecture.
