Shizuko Yukimoto (Japanese: 行本静子) was a Japanese supercentenarian.

BIOGRAPHY

Shizuko Yukimoto was born in Japan on 20 October 1905, and spent most of her life in Kuse Town, Okayama Prefecture (later Maniwa City), where she raised her family.

On 19 October 2005—just one day before her 100th birthday—the mayor of Maniwa City visited her home to honor her longevity. Even at the age of 100, Shizuko remained independent in her daily life, continuing to bathe and cook for herself. Reading was part of her daily routine, and she enjoyed creating handicrafts such as beadwork, with many of her intricate pieces proudly displayed in her room. Her precision and focus remained sharp even at this age.

She passed away from natural causes on 28 November 2015, at the age of 110 years, 39 days.

RECOGNITION

By 2014, Shizuko ranked among the five oldest living individuals in Okayama Prefecture.

At the time of her death, she was the third-oldest living person in Okayama Prefecture, behind Yoshiyo Bessyo and Asayo Masuo.

Her age was verified by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Ryohei Asano, and validated by LongeviQuest on 25 August 2025.
