Sammie Lee Holt (née Draper) was an American supercentenarian.
Sammie Lee Holt was born in Greenwood, Louisiana, USA, on 28 August 1903, to parents Willis Draper (1870–1951) and Ida Black (1874–1935). She had 11 siblings. At an early age, she became a Christian and a member of Greenwood Baptist Church #1. After moving to Shreveport, she joined Trinity Baptist Church, where she served faithfully for the remainder of her life. She loved participating in many of the church’s activities, including Sunday School, the Deaconess Board, the Mission, and prayer ministries. In addition to her church work, she was active in various community volunteer efforts and took special interest in the National Council of Negro Women and the Centralites Club.
She married James Stokes Holt Jr. (1896–1986), and together they had four children: James S. Holt III, Jeanette Marie Holt, Jewell Lamar Holt, and Edwin J. Holt.
Sammie Lee Holt passed away in Greenwood, on 19 April 2014, at the age of 110 years, 234 days.
