Masa Kotake (小竹マサ) was born in Japan on 7 July 1915.
In her teenage years, she moved to Aishō, Shiga Prefecture (then known as Aichigawa Town) for work. In her youth, she enjoyed traveling with friends, and even in her later years, she actively participated in local events and senior club gatherings, devoting herself to gateball. She was also skilled at handicrafts and often made decorative “tembimari” balls as gifts for her friends.
In September 2025, she was officially recognized as the second-oldest living person in Shiga Prefecture, following Sawa Muraji.
Her age was verified by Aisho Town and Ryohei Asano, and validated by LongeviQuest on 19 October 2025.
