BIOGRAPHY

Mary Jorden was born in Lithuania (then Russian Empire). She claimed to have been born on 1 January 1906, but it’s likely she was a year younger. She spent most of her life in New Jersey, having moved there with her family as a child and eventually settling in Toms River. She had a sister, Viola Soloney.

Throughout her life, she held various jobs but was also a dedicated homemaker. She married William Jorden, who passed away in 1992. Together, they had two sons, William and Donald Kenneth (1929–2011), and a daughter, Joyce Zofchak.

Mary Jorden passed away in Toms River, New Jersey, USA, on 1 March 2018. She was survived by her daughter, as well as nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild.
