Hanae Kondō [Japanese: 近藤はなゑ] was a Japanese supercentenarian.
Hanae Kondō (近藤はなゑ) was born in what is now Hamakita City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, on April 21, 1894.
She was blessed with three children and eight grandchildren.
At the age of 104, although her hearing had declined, she was still able to walk freely with the help of a cane. She enjoyed singing postwar songs and was known to sing with such enthusiasm at events held in her nursing home that she would lose her voice.
In September 2004, Kondō was reported to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare as the 18th-oldest living person in Japan.
She passed away in Mori Town, Shizuoka Prefecture, on December 2, 2004, at the age of 110 years and 225 days. At the time of her death, she was the second-oldest person in Shizuoka Prefecture, behind Toyo Endō of Shizuoka City.
Her age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group on 21 September 2004 and later recognized by LongeviQuest.
